Some Very Special Thanks to a few people in particular

Jason who spent The entire day Thursday most of Friday and even came down early Saturday to Put together the coolest piece of equipment we now have in our gym. Not to mention all the other hours spent welding and drilling the new pull up rig.

Fred and Mina who volunteered to bring the drinks for the day and delivered with plenty of Beer and Water.

Hapy Bear Dentistry for their donation of 400$ dollars
Lawrence Tractor for Their donation of 400$

I also want to Thank CrossFit Hanford and CrossFit Visalia for showing up and making the event a huge success. It is always fun to get a bunch of us crazy people in the same room and destroy ourselves. it is even better when it is for a cause like St. Jude Childrens hospital. It is still not to late to donate we made it about halfway to our goal of 5000$ if you have not yet donated and would like to go to CrossFitforHope.com and donate, just make sure to do it as a part of CrossFit Tulare so we can keep track of how well we really do this year.

Rest Day

My First Time
Like most of us, I’ll never forget my first time. I had done all the proper preparation, read all the literature, and even watched LOTS of instructional (and entertaining) videos from the internet on the subject. And it was finally my turn.
When I started I felt a little awkward – after all, I had been anticipating this moment for so long and I wanted everything to go just like I saw in the videos. In the first minute or so I began breathing so hard it was downright embarrassing. Within just a few minutes I was sweating profusely and it felt like I had lost all motor control. Several times throughout I wasn’t sure I was going to be able complete the task satisfactorily, but not wanting to disappoint, I persevered. Out of breath, muscles tired and drenched in sweat, I literally collapsed from exhaustion the moment I had finished.
I had done it. Finally. It wasn’t pretty, but completing that rite of passage changed my life forever and I couldn’t wait to tell all my friends about it. It took me about 32 minutes, and her name was “Angie”.
What was your first CrossFit workout like?
