It's a question i'm sure many of you will ask when you first come on to this site. Well first off, "we" is, for now, really just "me". I am Big Mike, a nickname i've grown accustomed to through out my years in various athletic and social circumstances. Right now I am completing my degree in Sports Medicine at Pepperdine University, where I am also the manager of the fitness programs. In addition to that I am also interning at Crossfit Malibu where I am improving my skills as a crossfit coach, improving my technical eye and learning the business of running a Crossfit Box. As of now I am not affiliated with Crossfit in any way other than having paticipated in a crossfit level 1 certification. My goal however is too open up a crossfit gym in Tulare Ca before the end of 2011. As of now I am drawing on what I have learned from Crossfit to create my own training program's and methodology in order to better the everyday lives of those around me. In later post I will delve more into what Crossfit is and how we go about doing what we do and why we do it that way. For now however I encourage everyone to check out the main site and read the free article about fitness. In addition to that I encourage and challenge you to start improving your fitness today. If you dont know how the try the work out at the end of this post, if that seems like too much for now the start with a walk, a jog , anythingthat gets your moving, just go do it, Set an amount of time (20 minutes??) and see how much groud you can cover, or pick a distance ( a mile maybe ) and see how fast you can cover it. It doesent have to last long and you dont have to go very far, the goal here is to push yourself and find the limit of what you can do, because if you follow the workouts listed on this site in two months you will be able to blow those results away.
Introductory Work Out Of The Day (WOD)
5 rounds for time of :
15 Squats
10 Push ups
5 sit ups
Go as fast as you can as hard as you can with as little rest as you can with out injuring your self.
