This is my doing a standing 43.5in box jump. ( and yes I am showing off a little right now ) |
Hope you all enjoyed it. Since Frisday is our last workout together I encourage you all to take seriously Mike's offer for a free intro session and a Saturday WOD. Also the OnRamp program, which you will hear much more about at the intro session, will introduce you to a whole lot more of CrossFit than you have been ableto experience in the Campus Recreation at Pepperdine. To name just a few, Olympic Lifting, Power Lifting, Pull-ups, Rowing, Sled Pulling, Real Kettle Bell work, there are many more but I will stop there. Also the rest of the CrossFitters there are great people, the type of which I hope to attract to BigMikes once it moves to Tulare in a couple weeks.
Even if you decide to stick with whatever programs CampusRec puts our this summer and next semester the free intro session and Saturday session will prove invaluable as it will increase you knowledge of a number of different movements and expose you to a level of intensity that you do not get to see in our small group.
Looking forward to Friday

Great fun doing a genuine WOD at the "Bu-Cross Fit". A pleasure to meat Mike #2 as well! I encourage all who read Big Mike's blog, and each of us hard-core Cross Fitters in Big Mike's Campus Rec class to take advantage of the Saturday intro course. As with the WOD's they have cramed a lot into a compact space--sled pulling has got to be the #1 advantage over Campus Rec's offerings. Not to mention the rowing machine (great revamping job Big Mike!) as well as the ring pulls. No showing off here--time in the sled pull (murder!) 2:47! And feeling it! Bring on the "Finals" test Friday!
