So as you all know CrossFit Tulare is now an official Affiliate with its own website at
www.CrossFit-Tulare.com
and that is where I will continue to post the daily workouts and nutritional info. However I didn't want this blog to get left behind in the dust. So I have decided that I will use it as my personal blog hitting on topics ranging from my workouts to sports to crossfit theory and anything else I feel like talking about because after all it is my blog.
So here is what has been going on lately.
Found out about
Mobility WOD blog that Kelly Starrett writes and have been incorporating it into my daily routine.

Second At the end of August I took a trip to Waxman's gym and spent a day with Sean Waxman one of the best coaches I have ever had the pleasure to work with. He convinced me that I should focus more on developing my strength. While not quite CrossFit in its focus on one of the ten physical domains it is something that I thoroughly enjoy. I am in my second week of the strength program and will be hitting 315 lbs for 5 in the squat and 405 for 5 in the dead lifts tomorrow. While not huge numbers for a strength athlete of my size I am still building a base of strength and getting the volume and reps I need to be able to finish the 12 week program and achieve my goals. by the end of this 12 week program by 1 rep max squat should be well over 400 lbs and my 1 rep max dead lift should be over 650lbs. I am also working on my bench and overhead presses and those should reach 260 and 230 lbs respectively. While working on these goals I am also honing my olympic lifting technique with sessions using moderate weight and triples to get that down . In addition to this I am striving to include 3 CrossFit metcons a week though the actual total has been between 1 and 2.
Expect more soon...
