Some one pointed out today that It had been a long LOOONG time since I had posted here. So Sorry about that. Since I have started posting the workouts to Wodify I haven't posted on here much. I am looking to fix that. Thought I would start out with a couple of coaches insights.First an explanation of the programs you see in Wodify.
CrossFit- These are and will continue to be, your standard CrossFit Workouts, In their set up they will look very much like CrossFit Mainsite work outs, but will always use the methods we have always used to program your work outs.
Endurance ( upcoming) - using the CrossFit Endurance methodology there will be near daily endurance work outs that can be done a few times a week in addition to your regular CrossFit Tulare work outs, there is currently no dedicated class for this program instead you should consider doing this n Your Own , as it will be a lot of biking or running, or after your CrossFit Class.
Strength ( soon to be expanded) - My personal favorite we already have a dedicated class 3x a week for this program, it will be expanded soon to have work outs to follow during open gym time. On days there is no dedicated strength class or you just cant make It I recommend you try and do it before your CrossFit Class. This will one day be 3 separate programs with a Power Lifting, Strong man, and Olympic Lifting program, but currently blends all three disciplines
How should you use these programs? Ill answer that with a question. What is your goal? Do you want to enter some triathlons Then try out the endurance program, want to compete at a lifting meet then do the strength, want to compete follow through with the Renegade Program. Well what if you don't know. Then go ahead a dabble, try out the different classes and programs until you find the one that fits you best. Keep in mind however that each of these programs are set in cycles with specific beginning and ending dates, While switching between them is doable it does not lead to the best results.
Now a note Competitions: the goal of this particular gym is to educate its members on proper movement and increase their health and fitness, However I enjoy competing in all kinds of competitions, from local 5ks to a CF Throwdown and even an Olympic lifting or power lifting meet. Many of you have expressed interest in the same. If that is you then I will be keeping a steady stream of events coming your way. Anything from weightlifting meets, to CrossFit Throw Downs to obstacle course races. Many of you have Already committed to the CF Comp in September and I am looking forward to competing with you there.
Upcoming OnRamps: our Next ONramp starts on June 17th at 7pm, If you know any friends or have any family this will be a 2 week OnRamp for 50$. Refer a Friend and they can get the OnRamp for FREE, so If you have any one on the fence about trying CrossFit Now is the time for them to try it out.
