Spring Leaning Challenge

Its time to change everything. It will be simple. Whatever you're doing right now, stop, now start doing something else. Maybe I should be a little more clear with regards to what I am talking about.

Nutrition

I do it, you do it we all do it. Diet till the scale shows the right number then we get back to what we were doing before. Then the next time we get on the scale we are 40 pounds heavier than before. So we are going to change everything. Simple but not easy. In the spirit of CrossFit I have decided to issue a challenge to the members of the gym. Since we are talking about CrossFit this challenge will have to be measurable. This is our First Spring Leaning Challenge.
  • Spring Leaning Challenge
  • 12 weeks
  • Start Date Feb 21
  • End Date May 14th
  • before and after photos
  • start and finish weights ( not used as a scoring metric but simply because I know it will a part of the reason some people do this )
  • Test  and retest performance metrics ( will be used as a scoring metric to decide the winner of the challenge)
  • 35$ buy in
  • winner takes the pot
So how does this work? Well its simple really; there will be subjective and objective scoring. Because CrossFit Tulare is a performance based gym the main scoring method will be a Test and retest of the exact same WoD on the start and finish date. The person with the biggest improvements in that score over 12 weeks will be the winner. In the unlikely even of a tie we will use the subjective method ( the before and after shots ) to choose a winner. While the WoD remains a secret for now know that every one in the gym will be able to complete it as RX'd so no one will be left out. If you want to join this challenge Just sign up with Mike.

There is really only one Rule for this Challenge

Keep a food Log

I don't care whether you do Zone, Paleo, the cookie diet, or the Hollywood detox, but whatever you do you have to record it. Every day, every meal. To help you on your way in this goal I will be offering a nutrition seminar Saturday Feb 19th. While it revolve mostly around the zone model of nutrition I will touch on some simple changes you can make. This is a FREE seminar and you are encouraged to bring any of your friends who might be interested as well.

**Only the winners Photos will be displayed. In the gym or on the website every one else can choose to let us display them or not.
